What Is Whitehall All About?
Loving God
"Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus
Christ whom you have sent." John 17:3
A Place for Friendships to Become Genuine Relationships
"Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above
yourselves." Romans 12:10
We place a premium of priority on efforts to build lasting bonds
between the members of our church family. We genuinely want the circle of care and concern
to show in true commitment to one another. We are open for this circle to include you,
too.
A Place for Personal and Spiritual Learning
Bible study is vital and thus becomes a focus for both intellectual and spiritual
instruction. We believe the Bible and accept it as Gods Word to all persons, a Book
that is alive and relevant for our lives now. There is a place for the whole family to
learn in our Sunday School and in-home study.
A Place for Serving and Using Your Gifts
Unity of vision and purpose is a key to accomplish anything for God. Our mission
is to glorify God by serving His purpose to reach out in service to others. God has called
Whitehall to serve one another both within and outside the church. Add your talents,
skills, and abilities to Whitehalls family of servants.
A Place for Worship and Praise
In our personal and public celebration of God, the Holy Spirit leads us to stand
in awe of HIS holiness, enjoying HIS grace, and glorifying HIM in all we do. We strive to
fully honor the one true God, who is worthy of all.
Our hope is for you to experience this with us. We hope to see you at
Whitehall Baptist Church, very soon.
How to Begin a Relationship with Jesus
1. Believe in Jesus! Jesus said, "For God so loved the
world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish
but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) To Believe in Jesus means to trust Him and
follow Him.
2. Turn from you sin. The Bible says, "For the wages of sin is
death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans
6:23) We must turn away from our sin and to God who alone can forgive our sin.
3. Receive Christ as your Savior and Lord. The Bible says, "But as
many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who
believe in His name." (John 1:12) You can receive Christ right now! Just pray in your
own words or pray a prayer like this:
Lord, I do believe in you. Thank you for loving me enough to send
your Son to die for me. I desire to turn from my sins and follow you. I invite you to come
into my life. Thank you for making me your child. Help me to live for you every day of my
life. In Jesus name, Amen.
When you have made this decision to receive Christ, call us at (301)
292-1131, or come to Whitehall on Sunday and let us share your joy.
